FERTILITY STATUS OF SOILS -PANCHAYATH LEVEL MAPS

Under the project on ‘Soil based plant nutrient management plan for agro-ecosystems of Kerala’ around 2.0 lakhs soil samples were collected from all the local bodies of the State and analyzed for soil reaction, electrical conductivity, major, secondary and micro nutrients. The soil test values were processed and interpreted to project the soil fertility status of the State. Soil fertility investigation has brought to fore the following constraints:
